About Us

Ace Motoring Services incorporating Ace Recovery Services, Ace Auto Centre and Ace Car Sales is a family owned and managed business it was established in 1993 to enable the partners to provide emergency rescue/recovery services as a contractor for most of the major motoring organisations as well as providing garage services to the local community. Prior to this the partners had owned and managed the Rosie Garage, East Wemyss and Durward Garage, Methil, which was initially established in 1981.

Our site at Harbour View, Methil was chosen for its location and spacious ground which are now home to Ace Recovery Services , Ace Auto Centre and Ace Car Sales .

Melville James Henry is a qualified mechanical engineer who has been involved in the motor trade all of his working life. He has been the proprietor of three successful businesses, which have evolved and expanded over the years to meet the demand for service. The company name was changed to Ace in 1993 with a move to larger premises designed to reflect the company's commitment to rescue/recovery operations.

Caroline Mary Henry has supported her husband, particularly in the area of administration, staff development and training. Carrie follows her own career but continues to devote a great deal of her time to supporting Melv in his role.

Melv and Carrie's daughter Mrs Julie Kirchacz is now a director in the business and ensures service remains at a high standard in her role as Quality Manager. Julie has been involved in the motor trade all of her working life having been brought up in and around the family business. A team of skilled and motivated staff who include Davie McKenzie, Workshop Foreman and Fiona Sime, Office Manager support Julie in the smooth operation of the business.

Ace Motoring Services has been built on the philosophy that "the customer is the most important part of the business and deserves to have the best attention and service without having to pay exorbitant costs" .

Ace Recovery Services are ISO 90 01: 2000 and PAS 43 approved. ISO 900 1 is a recognised quality standard of the British Standards Association
